They popped the question, you said “yes”, now you need a wedding band. But how? Don’t you worry, the process is easy if you just follow a few simple steps, and we have a fabulous team of design specialists to help you create the stack of your dreams.

Step 1: Reach Out to Our Customer Service Team

Whether you said “yes” to one of our engagement rings or another jeweler’s, Alexis Russell can stack you up. When you’re ready, reach out to our service team via email at info@alexisrussell.com, and we’ll get you started.

Step 2: Fill Out the Custom Stacking Band Form

Once you reach out to our team, you’ll receive our Custom Stacking Band form via email to fill out and mail back to us with your ring. It’s a little get to know you, with three main components:
  1. Stacking Bands: What stacking bands you’re interested in. If you’re unsure of where to even start, that's totally okay! We’ve found it helpful for our customers to browse the Archive on our website and our Instagram for stacking inspiration - even check out one of our past journals for inspo! Ultimately our design specialists have a pretty good handle on what will look best, while making your vision come to life.
  2. Dates: There’s a spot to let us know when your wedding date is, but feel free to reach out via email to let us know the date you’ll need everything back. The process from reaching out to customer service to having your stacking bands in your hand typically takes a month to a month and half.
  3. Additional Services: Are there any additional services you'd like while your ring is in our studio. We offer complimentary professional cleaning and prong tightening - and hey while your ring is in our studio it’s the perfect time to have your ring cleaned and inspected.

Step 3: Send Your Ring to Our Studio

We typically require you to mail us your engagement ring so our jewelers can create the perfect fit with your new stacking bands. When it comes to mailing your ring to us we have a few tips to make the process go smoothly. We recommend double boxing the ring. So what does that mean? First put your ring in its ring box, box that up and then put that box in another box (voila, double boxing). It adds some extra security and keeps your ring from bouncing around on its way to our studio. And don’t forget to print out the Custom Stacking Band Form and put that in the box too!

Choosing a Shipping Carrier

When choosing a shipping carrier, we typically recommend using FedEx. However, you may choose any carrier you’re most comfortable with. We just always recommend tracking and insurance on the package, especially if you haven't yet insured your ring through a third party. Our service team is also happy to answer any questions regarding insuring your new heirloom pieces.

Step 4: We Receive Your Ring in Studio

Once we receive your ring we will reach out to you immediately during our normal business hours to let you know it's arrived.

Then our design specialists will get to work on sending you photos and videos of your ring with the stacking bands you put on your Custom Stacking Band Form and some suggestions if you weren’t sure where to start.

Step 5: You Pick Your Stacking Band(s)

Now that you’ve chosen your dream stack, one of our design specialists will send you your invoice via email. The invoice must be paid before your stacking bands move into production. The turnaround time for our stacking bands is 2 - 3 weeks. The jewelers in our studio will custom create your new stacking band to pair perfectly with your engagement ring.

*Please note, orders placed during the holiday season may incur longer production times.

Step 6: We Send Your Stack

…And voila, you’ve completed the Custom Stacking Band Process and are ready for your big day!
